June through December 2022:
Saint Joseph’s University has embarked on a plan to deploy a single pay cycle for all employees beginning June 1, 2022. This means that paychecks will be delivered every other Friday (bi-weekly) instead of twice per month (semi-monthly), with the first paycheck in this new calendar cycle being issued on Friday, June 17.
The University is implementing a single pay cycle to achieve greater efficiency, eliminating the need for three pay cycles and aligning with the pay cycle followed at University of the Sciences. Additionally, this change allows for more accurate processing, especially as it relates to benefits.
Semi-Monthly Payroll
The final semi-monthly payroll will be processed in Banner for all exempt employees on May 27, 2022 for the pay period of May 16, 2022 through May 31, 2022 with a check date of May 31, 2022. Please make sure that all leave reports for the month of May are completed no later than May 16, 2022 as we will no longer be using Banner to track paid time off plans and balances.
The first payroll in Workday will cover the pay period of May 30, 2022 through June 12, 2022 with a check date of June 17, 2022. Please note that the final semi-monthly payroll covers May 30 and May 31, therefore, exempt employees will only receive pay for eight days instead of the usual 10 days in the first pay.
Bi-Weekly Payroll
The final bi-weekly payroll processed in Banner for all non-exempt employees will occur on June 1, 2022 for the pay period of May 16, 2022 through May 29, 2022 with a check date of June 3, 2022. Please make sure that all timesheet approvals are completed in Banner no later than Monday, May 30, 2022 by noon as we will no longer be utilizing Banner to process payroll.
The first payroll in Workday will cover the pay period of May 30, 2022 through June 12, 2022 with a check date of June 17, 2022. Non-Exempt employees will be paid as normal for 10 days as the change to Workday does not interfere with your normal payment schedule.
