Overview
** If the below instructions do not allow you to connect your Windows or Mac computer to the wireless network, please bring your laptop to the Technology Service Center in Science Center 129, we have technicians ready to assist you.**

Windows 10 - manual configuration instructions
1. Once logged in, on the bottom right hand corner of the screen, left-click on the wireless icon.
2. Click on “Network & Internet Settings".
3. A new windows will appear. Click on “Network and Sharing Center” (located near the middle of the window).
4. Click on "Set up a new connection or network".
5. Click on “Manually connect to a wireless network” and click "Next".
6. In the "Network name:" box, type in sjuwireless
7. In the "Security Type:" drop-down menu, select WPA2-Enterprise
8. Click "Next".
9. Click on “Change connection settings”. A new window will appear.
6. On the box that opens click on the tab labeled “Security”. Click “Settings”.
7. Uncheck the box that says “Verify the server’s identity by validating the certificate”
8. Click "Configure..."
9. Uncheck the box that says "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)."
10. Click "OK".
11. Click "OK" a second time.
12. Click "Advanced Settings". A new window will appear.
13. Check the box that says "Specify authentication mode:".
14. From the drop-down menu, select "User authentication".
15. Click "OK".
16. Click "OK" again.
17. Click "Close" on the next window still remaining.
18. Close out of any open windows.
19. In the bottom right-hand corner of the screen, click on the wireless icon again.
20. In the list of networks, click on “sjuwireless” and click "Connect".
21. A window should appear prompting you for your SJU username and password. Enter each of these and click "OK".
22. It is possible you may need to repeat steps 20 and 21 again if you get a message that it could not connect the first time.
*NOTE*
If you had previously connected to the sjuwireless network in the past, it's possible you may need to remove the sjuwireless network before you can create it again using the steps above. If necessary, click on the wireless icon. Click Network Settings. Click Manage Wi-Fi settings. Scroll down to Manage known networks. Click on sjuwireless and hit the Forget button. Once removed, follow the steps above to configure it manually.
Mac - manual configuration instructions
1. Turn WiFi ON (if not on already)
2. Click the AirPort icon and click on “sjuwireless”
3. You will be prompted for your SJU username and password
4. After a few moments, you should be connected to sjuwireless
If you are still unable to connect, try clearing your keychain passwords.
1. Open Utilities. You can open Utilities by selecting "Go" from the desktop.
2. In Utilities, click on Keychain Access. If not already selected, please select login from the right of the window.
3. Click on one of the saved password, at the top choose edit and then select all. Press delete.
After clearing this list, try to connect to sjuwireless again.
Chromebook
1. At the bottom right, select the time.
2. Select Not Connected 
.
Note: If you see your Wi-Fi network name and a signal strength, your Chromebook is already connected to Wi-Fi.
3. Turn on Wi-Fi.
4. Your Chromebook will automatically look for available networks and show them to you in a list.
5. Select sjuwireless and enter your SJU username and password
6. Click Connect
