Which computers are available for student use?

SJU has different types of computer labs for different purposes:

  • Open/public computer labs, such as those found in the library complex
  • Large classroom computer labs
    • These are generally open throughout the week during the fall and spring semesters. Access is not guaranteed, for example when classes are in session.
    • Typically these have software requested by the instructors who teach in these rooms.
  • Scientific teaching labs
    • Contain smaller numbers of computers with specialty software used with specific instrumentation.
    • Consult with your instructor for access outside of scheduled class time.
  • Scientific research labs
    • Managed by individual instructors who conduct research projects.
    • Consult with your instructor for which research spaces are available.
