Required Onboarding Tasks
In mid-November, you will receive your SJU account login information, including your SJU email and information about setting up your password. Within a few days, you will also receive Workday notifications from your new SJU account with all of your onboarding tasks, which must be completed before the merger close date in order to ensure a seamless transition. These tasks will include:
- Form I-9 (see below)
- State & Local tax withholding elections
- Federal tax withholding elections
- Payment elections (direct deposit)
- Acknowledgment of our Workers Compensation policy
- Adding emergency contacts
- Confirming/editing your government ID (typically your Social Security Number)
- Updating/confirming your contact information
- Updating/confirming your personal information
Form I-9
Section 1 of the Form I-9 must be completed in Workday. Section 2 requires you to show proof of identification in person before the first day of work (the merger close date). Identification must be current and original - copies, photoes, or expired identification cannot be accepted. You can find a list of acceptable forms of identification on the US Customs & Immigration Services website here.
You can have your identification reviewed by a member of the Human Resources team on the following days/times:
- Monday, Dec 18: 10a-12p
- Wednesday, Dec 20: 9a-5p

Out-of-Town or Remote Employees
If you are unable to present your identification in person on your first day of work, you can have it notarized and submit copies of your identification instead. Please print the document attached on the right sidebar and bring it with your identification to a local notary. You must bring the original identification to the notary to complete the form.
Once the form is complete, the notary will make a copy of your identification and must send both the copies as well as the signed and notarized form to:
