Your Contact Information

Your Emergency Contacts

Your emergency contacts should also be fully up to date in Workday, in the event they need to be contacted on your behalf. You can also add multiple emergency contacts and assign them priority, so that if your initial contact cannot be reached, someone else can be contacted in an emergency.

To view and edit your emergency contacts:

  1. Start by going to your "Personal Information" app
    • screenshot of the app menu with the Personal Information circled
  2. From the Change menu, click on "Emergency Contacts"
    • Personal Info App menu - emergency contacts
  3. You will be taken to a screen that shows all of your current emergency contacts and the "priority" that you have designated for them. To edit this information, click "Edit" at the top of the screen:
    • Edit button on the My Emergency Contacts screen
  4. Use the pencil icon to edit a particular emergency contact's information. Fields with an "X" icon available mean that you can remove this information. Since Primary Emergency contacts are required, you will need to change your primary contact before removing them entirely.
    • Emergency Contact edit screen
  5. You must have at least 1 emergency contact designated in Workday. Other contacts can be added or removed under the "Alternate Emergency Contacts" section at the bottom of this page:
    • Alternate Emergency Contacts option
  6. When complete, click "Submit" at the bottom of the page and your information will be saved and updated.

If you have any questions about either process, please reach out to humanresources@sju.edu.
