When adding a Panopto video to a Canvas catalog course, you will need to copy the embed code from the Panopto video with the following settings:
In Panopto, hover over the video until you see the icons appear in the top righ corner, and select Share from the options.
Next, in the Share dialogue box, under "Who can access this video", click on the word Change that is hyperlinked.
From the list of options, select the option: Public (unlisted) Anyone who has the link.
Next, choose the Embed option, and select the following checkboxes:
- Show Title
- Show Logo
- Show Captions
Make sure the following option are NOT selected:
- Autoplay
- Enable 'Watch in Panopto'
Make sure Responsive embed is on. Aspect Ration should be 16:9. Start at 0:00. Interactivity: None.
Once the options are selected, click on the Copy Embed Code button.
In your Canvas course, navigate to a Page, Assignment, Quiz, etc. where you would like to embed the video. In the Rich Content Editor, click on the Insert menu, then click on the Embed option.
Paste the embed code from Panopto and click Submit. Your video player will then appear in the Rich Content Editor.
