Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
- Our preferred filing date is December 1 for new students (April 1 for returning students)

Receive and accept the award package online on the Tuition & Aid page of the Nest.
For returning students, please accept your award via The Nest (How do I view and accept my financial aid online?)

If you accepted Federal Direct Subsidized or Unsubsidized Loans:
- Log in to www.studentloans.gov using your FSA ID
- Complete Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan Entrance Counseling
- Complete Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized Loan Master Promissory Note
If you accepted the Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan:
- The application will be available after April 15.
- The parent taking the PLUS loan must apply for a FSA ID
- Log in to www.studentloans.gov using the new FSA ID
- Complete an application for the Federal Direct Parent PLUS Loan
- Complete a PLUS Master Promissory Note
If you are selected for Federal Verification:
- Required documents are listed on The Nest
- Please mail or fax in the completed documents within 45 business days in order for your Federal Financial Aid to be processed.
