Blackboard Learn is a virtual learning environment and course management system developed by Blackboard Inc. and managed by the SJU Blackboard Team.
SJU is moving: Canvas is our new Learning Management System! Use of Blackboard ends with the completion of the Spring 2018 term (Final grades are due May 14, 2018). Now is a chance to reimagine how you use and experience the LMS and create an experience for your students. Check out our Knowledge Base resources to learn how to get started!

With so many ways to reach students with course material, and various "rules" on the permissible and legal ways to share this content, this section on copyright compliance will assist you in answering the question, "do I have the appropriate permission to use these materials in the method I would like?"

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) is an approach to designing course instruction, materials, and content to benefit people of all learning styles without adaptation or retrofitting. Universal design provides equal access to learning, not simply equal access to information. It allows the student to control the method of accessing information while the instructor monitors the learning process and initiates any beneficial methods.

AppleTV in the Classroom: use and purchase.

AppleTV’s purchased through the IT purchasing site will require approval from Academic Technology. The procedure for faculty to request an AppleTV for use in the classroom should begin with the Academic Computing representative for your school or college. They will submit a service request to IT to begin the ordering and approval process.
