How do I request capital funding?

At Saint Joseph’s University, a capital asset is defined as an item that has a useful life of more than one year and a value of at least $5,000. This applies to all construction, capital improvements, capital equipment purchases and other special projects. If a determination is made that a purchase or a project is not capital in nature, then it must be funded through the unrestricted operating budget at the time of acquisition.

All capital requests, regardless of funding source, must be submitted to be reviewed by leadership no later than August 15th.

For information on how to complete a capital budget request, please contact your divisional budget lead.
