Overview
It is the policy of the University to provide reasonable accommodations in employment to qualified individuals with disabilities unless the accommodation would impose an undue hardship on the operation of the University’s business or would change the essential functions of the position. Retaliation against an individual with a disability for utilizing this policy is prohibited. Further, it is the policy of the University to provide reasonable accommodations in employment to employees with known temporary limitations on their ability to perform the essential functions of their jobs based on a physical or mental condition related to pregnancy, childbirth, and related medical conditions, provided that such accommodations do not impose an undue hardship on the operations of the University.

How to Submit an Accommodation Request in Workday
- Search for "Create Request" in the Workday search bar and click on the link to open that task
- Search for "ADA" or click on "All" to view the request types and choose the "ADA & Pregnancy Reasonable Accommodations Request" type, then choose that item and click "OK"
- On the full request page, select the request type and provide your preferred contact information and click "Submit". Do not provide medical information or your medical provider's information at this time. Please do not attach any documents to this request at this stage.
- This request is merely the first step to the overall process and allows the Office of Human Resources to document initial outreach. The full interactive process is conducted by a member of the Human Resources team who will reach out to you directly once the request and contact information are received.
