Follow the steps below to authorize your SJU google account.
- Login to Canvas at sju.instructure.com
- From the Dashboard, click into one of your courses
- Click Google Drive from the Course Navigation Menu
- Click the "Authorize" button to begin the process
- When prompted, choose your SJU Google account to authorize.
- Click Next.
- When prompted, choose "Allow" for the Google Drive LTI by Canvas prompt
- Once you have allowed the Google Drive LTI by Canvas to view and manage your Google Drive, the contents of your SJU Google Drive should appear.

This problem has occurred for a few users at SJU. One of the things that they've found helpful in working through the issue is to try authorizing your Google Drive through Chrome's incognito browser. The incognito browser can be accessed through the three vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner of Chrome.
The google apps integration occasionally runs into an issue accessing drive when a non-SJU Google account has been accessed recently on the computer. The incognito browser doesn't store authentication credentials and should allow you to access your SJU google account through Canvas.
The common work around seems to be:
- to use a private or incognito window in your browser
- try a different browser
- clear the cache (temporary internet files) in your browser(s)
- only authenticate the institutional google account.
