What is the Federal Pell Grant Program and how do I know if I am eligible?

The Federal Pell Grant Program is the largest federal need-based student aid program providing grant assistance ranging from $740 to $7,395 for the 2024-2025 academic year to undergraduate students who are enrolled in a degree or certificate program and have not received their first bachelorĀ“s degree. Eligibility is based on demonstrated financial need, cost of education, and enrollment status. The amount of the studentĀ“s award is determined using the Federal Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR), Expected Family Contribution (EFC), and the Payment Schedule provided by the U.S. Department of Education.

Student Awards are determined by Cost of Attendance and Enrollment status. Note that Pell Grants can adjust if you adjust your credit load prior to the end of the fifth week of classes.
