Update your Authentication Email Address for Password Reset

What is my Authentication Email Address for Password Reset?

NOTE:  You must know your authentication email address in order to reset your SJU password.  Every 180 days you will be sent a reminder to ensure that the address you have provided is still valid.

• Required when first registering with SJU as a student or employee
• Cannot be your SJU Email Address. 
• Used for password reset only
• Will NOT replace your SJU email address
• Used for recovery of your SJU account information only

Verify Authentication Email Address

1. The first time you log into any SJU services, you will need to verify your Authentication Email Address.
    
2. Click Set it up now
3. Enter the email address you would like to use as your Authentication Email Address. This should be a personal email address, not your @sju.edu account.
4. Click Email me. You will receive a code to your Authentication/personal email address.
5. Enter the code you received to your specified email address, and then select Next. Your security info is updated and you can use your email address to verify your identity when using password reset.

Change Authentication Email Address

1. To change your authentication email address, please visit My Sign Ins and login with your SJU credentials. 
2. Click Security Info on the left panel
   
3. Next to the existing authentication email that is displayed, click Change
   
4. Enter the new authentication email address you would like to use and click Next. A verification code will be sent to that email address.
5. Enter the verification code and click Next.  Your authentication email address has been updated.
