Allowing Students to Upload Videos to Panopto in a Canvas Course

By default, instructors are the only users who can add videos to the Panopto Video section of a Canvas course. In order to allow students to upload videos to Panopto in a course, complete the following steps:

  1. Click "Panopto Video" from the left-hand course menu.
  2. Click the gear (settings) icon towards the top right-hand side.

  3. Click "Create assignment folder."

  4. Settings are automatically saved. You can click the "x" on the top right-hand side to close the menu.
