Issue: S-Mode is preventing users from installing applications from outside the Windows Store
application. IE- not able to install respondus, Oxford Medical Simulation (OMS) software, or Chrome Web Browser
Steps:
1: Provide this Microsoft link.
2: Sign into or activate an email to access the Microsoft store.
3: Select the version of Windows that you will be converting from S-mode (10 or 11).

4: Click ‘Switch out of S Mode’ link.
5: You will be redirected to the Microsoft store, after it loads click on the button labeled ‘Get’.

6: After a few short moments, your computer will be released from S-mode.

Conclusion: S-Mode configuration has been removed from the user’s device and they are able to install applications using .exe file types.
