Zoom in VDI Desktop

Issue: Not able to accept users from the lobby or being able to do other Host related actions in the meeting. Showing “guest” next to participant name or signed in with a non SJU email address.

Receiving “failed to sign in” error when trying to login to zoom app

Steps:

  1. Sign in to the Virtual desktop, select a pool, and load your profile.
  2. Double click the Zoom icon on the desktop.
  3. Click Sign in with SSO.

  

  1. Add SJU into the company domain text box and click continue.

*Note* You may encounter an error that you’re signed in with a legacy account.  Follow the steps under Common issues to resolve.

  1.  Sign in with your SJU account.

Common issues:
Legacy email signed into the browser - Sign out of the legacy account, close browser, click ‘continue’ on SSO Zoom window to trigger the process again.

Conclusion: Logged into the Zoom app with the correct SJU Credentials and are able to join meetings with host permissions if the user is the host.
