a. Executive MBA Programs
Tuition remission for the Executive MBA Program is available for:
• One University employee, per cohort, for the one-year program (for an employee with an undergraduate degree in business) and
• One University employee, per cohort, for the 16-month program (for an employee with an undergraduate degree in a non-business related field)
Tuition remission for both programs is contingent upon the availability of University financial resources, as determined by the President.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the benefit, you must have completed one year of continuous full-time employment, be currently employed in a full-time position at the University and have been accepted to the Executive MBA program. Employees are required to use their vacation time for prolonged absences from work (e.g., the International Study Tour). Full tuition remission will be granted for up to:
• Thirty credits for the one-year program; or
• Thirty six credits for the 16-month program.
Travel expenses, meals, room and board, books and fees are not included in this benefit.
Selection Committee
A selection committee comprised of the Dean of the Haub School of Business, the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences, the Dean of the School of Education and Human Development , Dean of the School of Nursing andAllied Health VP of Human Resources, and the Chief of Staff, Office of the President, will review the list of accepted students who meet the eligibility requirements for the scholarship and evaluate those candidates based on the criteria below, then select a finalist for review and approval by the Provost.

• The announcement of the start of the application process for the one-year program will be made in mid-January each year and will be due to the Office of Human Resources on or about March 15th of the same year. The selection committee will announce their decision in March for a May start date of the program.
• The announcement of the start of the application process for the 16-month program will be made in January and will be due to the Office of Human Resources on or about March 15th of the same year. The selection committee will announce their decision in June for a September start date of the program.
Application Process
Once accepted to the EMBA program, you must complete, sign and submit the EMBA Tuition Remission Scholarship Application and corresponding materials (see Application Checklist) to be considered for the EMBA Tuition Remission Scholarship. If the scholarship is awarded, the
EMBA Tuition Remission Scholarship Form as well as the EMBA Tuition Remission Scholarship Agreement will be due at the beginning of the program by the deadline communicated by the Office of Human Resources.
The Applicant Checklist includes:
• Copy of EMBA admissions packet (including resume, transcripts, and personal statement)
• Department head letter of support
• Copy of the employee’s most recent performance evaluation
• Copy of acceptance letter into the EMBA program
• Remittance of Scholarship
If the employee is awarded the scholarship but does not complete the program, the employee will be required to reimburse the University the tuition costs incurred up to that point in the program. In certain hardship situations, an appeal may be made to the selection committee.
If full-time employment terminates (except in the case of layoff) prior to or less than two years after completion of the program, the employee will be required to reimburse the University some or all of the tuition costs paid in accordance with the following schedule:

b. Interdisciplinary Doctor of Education Program
Tuition remission for the Interdisciplinary Doctor of Education Program for Educational Leaders (IDEPEL) will be awarded as a scholarship each year to one qualified applicant per cohort, contingent upon the availability of University financial resources.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must have completed three years of continuous full-time employment, be currently employed in a full-time position, have a documented successful performance history at the University and meet the IDEPEL admission requirements.
Full tuition remission will be granted for up to 54 credits. Travel expenses, meals, room and board, books and fees are not included in this benefit.
If the employee is awarded the scholarship but does not complete the program, the employee will be required to reimburse the University the tuition costs incurred up to the point of withdrawal from the program. Furthermore, if full-time employment terminates (except in the case of layoff) prior to or less than four years after completion of the program, the employee will be required to reimburse the University some or all of the tuition costs paid in accordance with the schedule outlined in the section below titled Remittance of Scholarship.
