Conference Cart Quick Start Guide
Please hang the cords back up when you are done using the cart.

Cart/Device Setup
- Plug the electric cord into the wall outlet
(the cord hung up behind the cart: Image C)
- Turn on the TV using one of two options ⏻:
- Press the red power button on the remote.
- Press the power button on the back right side of the TV.
- Turn on the computer by pressing the power button (if it does not turn on automatically).
The Power button LED light will glow when the computer is on.
- Wait for the device to connect to Wifi when the login screen appears.
Will connect to HawkGuest automatically (Can take up to 3 minutes to connect).
Look for
to replace
in the bottom right of the screen.
- Login using your SJU Credentials (DO NOT type username@sju.edu, use your username only).
The desktop is now ready for use. See the Webconferencing Setup section to set up the microphone and camera for web conferencing.
Power Off Procedure
- Shutdown the computer. You can use the shortcut on the desktop.
- Turn off the TV using one of two options ⏻:
- Use the POWER OFF button on the remote
- Press the power button on the back right side of the TV.
- Unplug and return the microphone to the top of the cabinet/cart. Wrap the cords back up and hang them on the velcro on the left side of the cart.
- Unplug the electrical cord. Wrap it and hang it on the velcro in the back of the cart
- Return the cart to the large conference table in the nursing neighborhood.
Webconferencing Setup (Microphone and Camera)
Login to whichever app you are going to use for conferencing (Zoom, Teams, etc.)
Setup the microphone:
- Locate the microphone cords rolled and hung on the left side of the cart. Undo the Velcro. (Image B)
- Confirm the USB cord is plugged into the back of the device.
- Plug the power cord into an outlet or a power strip.
There is a power strip inside the cabinet if needed.
- Set the microphone on the conference table.
- Open the settings of the conferencing app and locate the audio input.
- Confirm the microphone selected is the Jabra MIC.

Setup the camera:
- Open the settings of the conferencing app and locate the video input.
- Confirm the camera selected is

- Use the Camera remote (Image E) to adjust the camera as needed.
- Press the BLACK button labeled “1” to move the camera back to its default position.
- The arrow keys move the camera around; use them to position the camera.
- Use the zoom button to zoom the camera lens in and out.
