These short video tutorials are a starting point for instructors who are new to using Canvas. In the Canvas Training Part 1 playlist, you will be guided through the Canvas Dashboard, Modules, Files, Pages, Discussions, Quizzes, Assignments, Grades, Speed Grader, and Student View.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Know your DUE date and time. If your instructor gives you a time block of one, two, or several days to complete an exam/quiz/test, DO NOT wait until the last minute to do it. Should any technical problems arise, you’re less likely to get them solved at the end of the quiz time block.

New Quizzes is an assessment engine that integrates with Canvas as an LTI tool and replaces the classic quizzes functionality currently existing in Canvas.

Instructors can use New Quizzes to create assessments using a variety of questions types. New Quizzes assessments display as assignments in the Assignments page and can be duplicated. Students can take New Quizzes assessments within their Canvas courses.
