About this article?
Due to our campuses requiring support form multiple print vendors based on age and location, users can expect to see different Asset Tags w/ different support vendor information. This article will help describe the differences and who you should contact for support.
Who supports your printer and who to contact for help?
Our University City and Hawk Hill campuses will have the following types of departmental printers:
XSE (HawkPrint):
Printers and multi-function devices which have a "HawkPrint" sticker on them are supported by our current print vendor, XSE. Supplies for these devices are automatically shipped direct from Xerox. Empty consumables can be returned to Science Center 129 for recycling. You will primarily see these devices on Hawk Hill and University City campuses.

Copy Products (these are not HawkPrint):
These printers have a BLUE Copy Products sticker on them are supported and supplied by our legacy printer vendor, Copy Products. Hardware support and supplies are provided by this vendor, which are ordered by the departmental point of contact. Empty toners can be returned to Science Center 129 for recycling, or given back to Copy Products during each visit.

Parmetech:
Printers and multi-function devices which have a green/white sticker on them are supported by another legacy print vendor, Parmetech. Supplies are automatically shipped direct from Xerox.

Our Lancaster campus will have the following departmental printers:
QDOS (HawkPrint):
Printers and multi-function devices which have a "Quality Digital Office Solutions" sticker on them are supported by our Lancaster-area print vendor, QDOS. Supplies for these devices are automatically shipped direct from Xerox. Empty consumables can be returned to the OIT office for recycling, or returned to the vendor when they are on-site.

Legacy Lexmark Printers:
Due to the merger and consolidation of print vendors and management solutions, legacy Lexmark printers will be retired so that Lancaster users can use the newer fleet of HawkPrint devices located throughout the building.
Who can use these devices?
All SJU faculty and staff have access to departmental printer.
OIT does not provide support for personal printers, deskjet/desktop printers, or printers ordered outside of Parmetech, the Copy Products program, or HawkPrint program. University policy prohibits employees from bringing their own printers, and/or use departmental funds to purchase replacement toner/ink/supplies.
How can I have a department printer installed?
If you are experiencing service issues with the printers shown above, please contact the phone number on the the vendor's asset tag attached to the front of your printer. If additional support is required by or if you need to request installation of a departmental printer, please click the "Request Service" link to the right.
