Quizzes - Item Banks

Overview

Within Canvas Quizzes, it's possible to build item banks for different sets of questions. Item banks can be used to build quizzes efficiently by organizing questions by topic or rigor. This article focuses on the use of item banks in New Quizzes exclusively. Additional content about item banks in Classic Quizzes can be found in the Canvas Community.

Searching within an Item Bank

1. Open an item bank by choosing "Item Bank" from the left-hand course menu. 
2. Open an item bank by clicking on it's title. 
3. Use the search bar at the top of the item bank to search by question title or question stem content. Choose "+ Filters" to sort by question type.
