Legacy PA College Password Reset

Steps: Self help password reset for PA College accounts

Go to the password portal in the link below:
https://password.pacollege.edu

 

  1. Log in to test account if it doesn’t work walk them through self service pw reset
  2. Click on “forgot password” on the password entry page.
  3. Should send OTP to a cell phone or personal email.
  4. This should allow them to update their password.
  5. Resetting the password will unlock their account
  6. Might take 15 minutes to sync up to the Microsoft Cloud services. (Azure DirSync)

Possible Errors

  • No “forgot password” link
    • Username is not correct and isn’t found in the database
  • “Authentication Failed” after entering in the correct information
    • User was imported through the initial build of the password tool’s database and the account is needing to be rebuilt due to old attributes that are causing problems
    • This can be escalated to Lancaster Desktop Support for an account rebuild in the Rapid Identity Database.
