What is it?
Role-based security restricts access based on a person's role within an organization. User's that require Banner access will be assigned their Banner access automatically based on the position they are assigned to.
You will no longer need to approve ad-hoc, per role/position based security. (For a new employee, employee transferring departments, etc.)
You should only have to consider any temporary (not specific to the user's role) Banner access OR verify/recommend permanent Banner access applied to a complete new role that hasn't existed at the University.
Where can I access this service?
This can only be requested by a Banner Security Officer of the University.
Requests that do not come from an approved Banner Security Officer will be rejected.
