Digital Signage

What is it?

Digital signage messaging can be tailored to any of the SJU community’s unique setting. It can be used to deliver targeted messages and media to specific campus locations, or broadcast the same display campus-wide. It can also display greetings, instructions and updated scheduling throughout the day.

In order to submit an electronic display, please keep in mind the following requirements:

  • Submissions must be a .PNG or .PPTX file.
  • All slides must be submitted in widescreen format with a resolution of 1920 px (pixels) x1080 px (pixels)
  • Vertical/Portrait submissions are automatically rejected and will not be posted.
  • Only one slide per submission/event is allowed.

The possibilities for campus use of Digital Signage:

  • Deliver important announcements as they happen
  • Post current event schedules and special events
  • Deliver instant emergency announcements
  • Announce changes to course schedules
  • Personalize visitor greetings, welcome notices and guest announcements
  • Advertise bookstore, café or other campus offerings
  • Broadcast educational programs

  • Advertise volunteer opportunities and community outreach programs
  • Share live weather, traffic, stock and sports information

Media Services will train users to update the signage in their areas, just ask!
